How do I get the report once I purchase it
SmartHomeBuy is a real-time web database. In other words, once you have opened and account, entered a property and select 'Purchase Report', it is instantly available. On the left side of the screen you will see a menu selection buttons, each of which will display information such as, Subject Property, Comparable Sales, Schools, Crime, Environmental etc. You will then be able to view this report for 48 hours after your purchase. You simply log on with your user name and password, enter the address of the previously purchased report and it will appear.

Where does your data come from?
The information displayed on SmartHomeBuy is compiled from many sources. Property information is collected from the County Assessor's Office and comparable sales information comes from the County Recorders Office. Information pertaining to Schools, Crime, Flood, Natural Hazards and Environmental information, have been collected from the appropriate government agencies at the Federal, State and local level.

How recent are the Sales on the Comparable Sales Report?
The currency of sales will vary from county to county, but in general within 30 of recording.. It can be up to 6 0 days in extreme cases.

I paid for my one report, how can I view it again without paying for it?
If you have registered with SmartHomeBuy and have purchased a report, you can access this report for up to 48 hours after you initial purchase. Just log in with your user ID and enter the address, your report will appear free of charge if it is within the 48 hour time period.

What areas do you cover?
SmartHomeBuy currently covers all of California. In the coming months we will be expanding our service to include National coverage.

What type of properties do you display?
SmartHomeBuy currently serves Single Family Residential, Condominium, Planned Unit Developments, Duplex & Triplex properties.

I am not sure of the exact address, but I know the block and street of a property I am interested in, how can I find it?
If you do not know the exact house number, but you know the block and street name, you can enter the block number along with the street and city name, SmartHomeBuy will list all of the properties for that block. You can then select the property of interest and generate a report.
