In addition to the existing Transfer Disclosure Statement required by California Civil Code Section 1102.6, a seller, or the seller's agent, of a residential property must give the prospective buyer a separate "Natural Hazard Disclosure Statement (NHD)" if the property in question lies within the boundaries of one or more of six statutory specified areas. The information provided herein for the Natural Hazard Disclosure zones was obtained from State and local government public records and is provided for general information purposes only. While shopping for a house, the prospective buyer can use it a checklist to inquire of the seller or agent if the property is located in any of these hazardous areas. Be aware that the various State and County agencies have not yet completed the preparation of all potentially hazard areas requiring disclosure. We will attempt to add these areas to our service as they become available from the corresponding State or county agencies. It is up to the seller or his agent to consider if they have a common law duty to disclose other Known natural hazards in areas the State agencies is yet to map.
